Congratulations to the Gators Winning Race team for bringing home the Florida Cup on the Breckenridge FSC Trip

 The Gator Snow Ski Club was started in the 1970s by some transplanted Pratt Whitney employees who wanted to go skiing with their friends.  They took their name from the alligators in the swamp behind their lunchroom.  Over the years the club has continued to thrive because of the camaraderie among the members, and how there is no such thing as strangers, just friends you haven’t met yet.

Our ski program continues to be one of the best around, with 6 trips this year with a destination to meet everyone’s taste.  We are starting the season off early this year, with a December trip to Vail.  Next up is the Florida Ski Council trip in January to Steamboat followed by a sweetheart trip to Crested Butte for Valentine’s Day.  We have a 10 day trip to Heavenly/San Francisco/Wine Country, which offers 10 days of skiing, sightseeing and wine tastings.  March brings our trips to Copper Mountain, CO and we end the season with our Spring Break trip to Canyons, Utah.  There is something for everyone, with the average trip including 30 to 50 members, you always have a lot of friends to have fun with both on and off the slopes.  There are always skiers of different abilities, whether you are a thrill seeker on the double Blacks or a new skier trying to get your ski legs.

This year, we revised our name to the Gator Snow Ski and Activities Club, to reflect that we are much more than just a ski club.  In addition to our ski fabulous ski program, we offer many Social events and Special Activities throughout the year.  In recent years we have taken trips to Ireland and Scotland, Paris, Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands. We have weekend outings closer to home to Naples and SpringLake for golf weekends, River Ranch for western fun, and to Rainbow on the Ocean for a beach party.  Every Friday night we have scheduled Happy Hours to mingle with your Gators friends and discuss your week.  Whatever the activity or event, you always have your Gator friends to join in on the fun.

We hold our General Membership meetings the second Thursday of each month, at the Palm Beach Gardens Marriott in the ballroom.  Social and signup time starts at 7:00pm with the meeting at 8:00 pm.

From the sunny beaches of Florida, to the highest mountain peaks, and everywhere in between, the Gator Snow Ski & Activities Club is the place to have fun with your friends, even if you don’t know them yet.
